(IF REQUIRED)
For connection to a three phase supply, two phases should be used. Connect one phase (L1) to the ‘0’
terminal, and the other (L2) to the supply voltage terminal.
For the safe installation and operation of a transformer, the following points should be considered:
1. The earth connection should always be used, where provided.
2. The transformer should only be used for the purpose for which it was designed.
3. All wires should be stripped to the correct length and fastened securely into the terminal blocks.
4. Adequate ventilation should be provided as transformers will get warm during normal operation.
5. Terminals should be inspected periodically for tightness (especially high current terminals).
PLEASE NOTE
TRANSFORMERS ARE ELECTRICAL DEVICES AND AS SUCH SHOULD ONLY BE
INSTALLED BY QUALIFIED PERSONNEL
All transformers on the following pages have been fully designed and tested to BS 3535, EN 60742, VDE
0050 and 0051 where appropriate. Voltages stated are at full load. Maximum temperature rise of 550C
with suitable ventilation.
